Mary Thimmesch, MSOM, L.Ac.
Mary is a classically trained acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. In her practice, She works to restore balance and flow of vital energy in clients and address the root causes of pain and dysfunction, so that healing can occur at the deepest level. As an herbal medicine practitioner, Mary prescribes both patent formulas and custom classical formulas for patients. She is a lifelong student of Mt. Ermei Qogong lineage holder Master Zhongxian Wu and also enjoys practicing Chen Style Tai Chi.
Mary has completed clinical observation in both the gynecology and oncology departments at the Chengdu University Hospital in Chengdu, Szechuan, China. In addition, she has completed advanced training in Integrative Oncology with the Mederi Foundation of Ashland Oregon and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY, NY. Mary is a member of the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute’s Center for Integrative Healing, a network of health care professionals offering integrative medical services to Eugene community cancer patients. She has a family practice with clinical focuses on women’s health, chronic pain, allergies, digestive health and cancer care.
Mary feels very fortunate to be a part of the wonderful Eugene community and enjoys all life has to offer with her ever growing circle of family and friends.

WVCC’s Integrative Medicine Program is a network of local healthcare practitioners working together to better serve cancer patients.
